Epson L18050 price in Kenya: what to compare before you buy

When you research the Epson L18050 price in Kenya, ask four questions of every seller. Is the price inclusive of VAT? Is the product genuine? How long is the warranty, and who honours it? What does delivery cost? A lower sticker price can disappear once VAT or delivery is added.

At Plannettech, the answers are clear. The Epson L18050 amazing Black Friday deal price of KSh 93,000 includes VAT, the printer is genuine, the warranty is one year, and delivery options are listed above. If a seller cannot answer those four questions, treat their price with caution, whether or not it looks lower.

What is the Epson EcoTank L18050?

Behind the Epson L18050 amazing Black Friday deals is a genuinely capable machine. The Epson EcoTank L18050 is an A3+ ink tank photo printer that uses refillable tanks instead of cartridges. It prints with six dye inks (black, cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan, and light magenta, from the Epson 057 series) at up to 5760 x 1440 dpi, and it prints borderless up to A3+. It is a single-function printer, so it prints but does not scan or copy.

For buyers looking for an A3 photo printer in Kenya, the L18050 stands out because it combines large-format output with ink tank economics. Epson lists the full specifications on its official L18050 product page, which is Epson’s European site.

Why six-colour ink matters for photo printing

The reason photographers look at the Epson L18050’s amazing Black Friday deals is the ink set. A four-colour printer has to imitate pale tones by mixing dots, which can look grainy. The two light inks in the L18050, light cyan and light magenta, give smoother skin tones, softer skies and more delicate shadows. At A3+ size, those differences are easy to see.

Dye inks like these are chosen for vivid colour and smooth gradients on photo paper. That is why the Epson EcoTank L18050 is aimed at photo work rather than everyday office documents, and why the Epson L18050 Black Friday offer appeals to studios more than to general offices.

Features worth paying for in the Epson L18050 amazing Black Friday deals

Borderless A3+ printing is the headline feature of the Epson L18050 amazing Black Friday deals. The maximum media size is A3+ (Super B, 13 x 19 inches) and the printer can print edge to edge, which suits posters, portfolio pages and exhibition prints. The paper tray holds up to 100 sheets of plain paper or 20 sheets of photo paper.

Media versatility is the other talking point. The printer can print onto PVC ID cards and onto printable CDs and DVDs. To print cards, you need the printer’s disc and ID card tray and inkjet-printable PVC cards [CONFIRM: is the tray supplied or sold separately?]. This guide to inkjet PVC card printing on the L8050 and L18050 explains the setup, and our card printers in Kenya page covers dedicated options. Anyone weighing the Epson L18050 amazing Black Friday deals for an ID card desk should check this first.

Connectivity and upkeep are covered too. The printer supports Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Hi-Speed USB 2.0, works with the Epson Smart Panel app and Epson Connect, and runs on Windows and macOS. A user-replaceable maintenance box and an easy-to-access pickup roller help reduce downtime, which matters if the printer earns money for you.

Who should buy the Epson L18050 amazing Black Friday deals?

The Epson L18050 amazing Black Friday deals suit photographers, photo studios, graphic designers, and print shops that regularly need A3+ output. If you currently pay a lab for large prints, owning the printer gives you faster turnaround and more control over colour. Schools and companies that print ID cards can also use it, provided they have the right tray and cards.

Hobbyists who print art and photography at A3+ will appreciate it as well. If you are comparing large-format options, see our wider A3 printers in Kenya page for an A3 photo printer in Kenya at different price points.

Who should skip it

To be fair, the Epson L18050 amazing Black Friday deals are not for everyone. It is a photo printer, not a high-speed office document printer, and it does not scan or copy. If you mostly print documents, or need a built-in scanner and copier, an all-in-one ink tank or laser model will suit you better. If you never print larger than A4, a six-colour A4 photo printer such as the Epson L8050 may be enough and costs less.
